Kadee Potrter Embraces Hand Piecing Program 1/19/26
November 19 @ 6:30 pm - 9:30 pm

Our November Program will feature quilter and designer Kadee Porter. She will share her technique for hand-piecing. Hand-piecing is a slow, satisfying way to create a quilt, one thoughtful stitch at a time. It is perfect for projects on the go, passing time in a hospital waiting room, or relaxing at home.
Kadee’s use of template stamps makes the preparation process simpler and more accurate. With her design “Lollipops,”, she was one of two Boise Basin Quilters Guild members honored with an award in the 2025-2026 Amethyst Hoffman Challenge: https://www.thehoffmanchallenge.com/award-recipients
Kadee is a native Idahoan and works as a civil engineer by day and a quilter by night. Her designs have been published multiple times in American Patchwork and Quilting magazine. She has a small, home-based business for template stamps created with 3D printing technology.
You can follow Kadee on Facebook at Kalico Palace Quilting: A Return to Handwork or on Instagram @kalicopalacequilting.
Kadee will be teaching a hand-piecing Schoolhouse class for the guild on January 30th, 2027. Please sign up on the BBQ website by clicking: Lollipops and Lemon Drops Schoolhouse by Kadee Porter 01/30/2027
