ur Guild members enjoy sharing their finished quilts at our general meeting each month. Its a great time to check out color schemes, patterns that may interest you, and admire the work of our fellow artists!

    • "Layer Cake Christmas" is made & quilted by Maureen Stevens.  This is made from a Layer Cake and a Quilt Expressions pattern.
    • "Bookshelf Quilt" is created & quilted by Margie Braach.

    • "Sisters - Mary" was created and quilted by Elaine Cederquist.

    • "Fizzy Frolic" created by Bev Sheeley & quilted by Linda Jolly.
    • Bev Sheeley's  "Favorite Quilt"
    • Dee Wilson made "Wiggles & Squiggles" for her great grandson.  It was quilted by Rita Long.
    • "Delicate Beauty" was created & quilted by Darci Mead from a pattern by Nancy Chong of the Pacific Rim Quilting Company.
    • "A Shift in Perspective" created & quilted by Aleida Houdyshell is from Natalia Bonner's book of "Modern Quilts".
    • Aleida Houdyshell created this "Labyrinth" quilt from Calico Carriage Quilt Designs, and Terri Hair quilted it.  She found the flannel fabric on a recent trip to Salt Lake City.
    • "Winter Wonderland" was pieced and embroidered by Mary Lou Queen and quilted by Barbara Smith.
    • Barbara Smith pieced and quilted "Gold Memories" over 20 months of the Quilt Crossing Saturday Sampler during 2013-2014.  She substituted applique blocks for the embroidered blocks, designed by Linda Dixon.
    • Cheryl Neruda designed "Cupcake Party" for her grand-niece, to be born in May in Ames, Iowa.  This was quilted by Connie Emmen.
    • Connie Emmen created and quilted "Pocket Full of Posies"  as an original pattern.  This is a memmory quilt for her niece, made from some of her father's shirts and shorts. The front and back honors service in the Peace Corps.
    • Diane Wilton made this crib size quilt, "Payton's Quilt" for her great niece.  Connie Emmen quilted a popcorn pattern with a variegated thread.
    • "Pinwheels and Patches" was pieced & quilted by Donna Swanson.  She discovered Bonnie Hunter's pattern online.
    • "Crayon Box" is from a Bonnie Hunter pattern.  Donna Swanson, the Rock Creek Quilter, used her red/black/white stash to piece and quilt this project.
    • udie Cahoon created & quilted "Annie's Quilt" from a Bonnie Hunter mystery quilt in 'Quiltmaker' magazine.
    • Karen Falvey created & quilted "Hugs & Kisses" and "Building Blocks"
    • The High Fibers small Quilt Group encouraged Karen Falvey to complete her UFO's  This is one of 5 sets of blocks that were won in the Block of the Month.  Karen quilted this herself on a track machine.
    • Linda Jolly made and quilted this original design for her brother's 60th birthday.
    • The "Mystery Quilt" by Linda Jolly was created in a class in January by Marilynn's Pickets and Patchwork in Nyssa.
    • "Mini Hexie" was made and quilted by Margie Braach from an English Paper Piecing pattern by Vicki Bellini.  She used hand applique and machine quilted it.
    • Maureen Stevens quilt group exchanged Christmas blocks.  She quilted an all over pattern called Holly Berries.
    • Maureen Stevens made this "Baby Quilt for Juliet" as part of Rena Hastings Scrap Basket Class.  It was also quilted by Maureen.
    • Melissa Kleinert put her son's t-shirts together to present to him when he graduates with his PH.D in Educational Psychology.  The button in the center is to hang his tassle.  The quilter was Colleen.
    • Mitzi Aden made & quilted "Stars & Stripes" from leftover scraps that were her grandson's school fundraiser.  This Quilt of Valor is hand quilted.
    • Sharon Beidler and friends together would hand dye fabrics in the summer.  She created "Josephine's Buttonholes" from her colorful collection and Jami Herndon quilted it.
    • Sue Nicholson created this 'Smokey River" from a Whirligig Designs pattern.  Quilted by Jami Herndon, Sue made this quilt for her grandson, Chris.
    • Sue Kreger is a member of a three-person group, "Suelalaine"  in which last year they created Mystery Quilts. Each month they learn something new!  All three quilts used the same pattern with slightly different settings.
    • "Country Home" was created and quilted by Sharon Koelling from JoAnn's Block of the Month.  Her best guess is that this has been in the UFO status for 16 years!
    • "String Beans Holiday" was created by Sharon Koelling and quilted by Connie Emmen.  The pattern is called 'String Beans'. Sharon added the bird blocks to become a queen-size quilt for her guest bedroom.
    • "Wedgewood" was created by Marty Marzinelli and quilted by Jami Herndon, from the Blue Willow pattern.  This was a kit designed by Janice Averill.
    • Lula Dorlarque is a member of a three-person group, "Suelalaine"  in which last year they created Mystery Quilts. Each month they learn something new!  All three quilts used the same pattern with slightly different settings.
    • "Wonderful Woodlands" is a variation on the Split Rail Quilt, sewn by Linda Murphy and quilted by Robyn Shafer.  The quilt was designed by Arrolynn Weiderhold.  It is for Alexander Schiff, Linda's great-grandson.
    • "Storm At Sea" was made by Kim Strouse from an Hawaiian artist and the pattern 'Sea Turtles'.  She made the corners at a class at the BBQ Quilt Show last year with ReNae Merrill.  It is going to her grandson in Oklahoma.
    • "Carol & Ian's Quilt" was created by Joleen Graham and quilted by Jami Herndon. This king size quilt of 8" squares is the largest quilt she has ever made!
    • "Fall Dance" was created by Lois Alice and quilted by Jill Nelson.   It went from Lois's UFO pile to Jill's UFO pile for 2 years; now it is finally finished!
    • "Happy Trails" was created by Jackie Fuller during a quilt retreat in October 2013.  She finished it to give to her great niece.  Jackie quilted it on her home sewing machine.
    • "Romance is in the Air" was created by Jackie Fuller and quilted by Jami Herndon.  Jackie chose this arrowhead block for her small group pass-the-bag project.
    • Kittens in the Bakery" was created by Esther Kleinkauf.  She wanted to make a quilt for her sister, who owned bakeries for over 30 years.  The pattern is 'The Main Feature' from Sew Be it.
    • Elaine Cederquist is a member of a three-person group, "Suelalaine"  in which last year they created Mystery Quilts. Each month they learn something new!  All three quilts used the same pattern with slightly different settings.
    • Eileen Wardle found these blocks a couple of years ago at the Shop & Swap table, then added them to her stash.  Upon discovering that they were Nell Billings donated blocks, she set them on point, quilted it, and named it "Nell's Donation".
    • "Garden Flowers" was created by Donna Mumford and quilted by Jami Herndon.  The pattern is Baskets by Eleanor Burns with modifications recently by Donna to finish this UFO started in 2001.
    • "Nine Patch Medley" created and quilted by Connie Griffin was made from fabric blocks bought from the Shop and Swap Table. Of two quilts, the first went to a QOV quilt, the second to a personal friend who is a Veteran.
    • "Boxes??? What Boxes?" created and quilted by Betsy Jonson as a Mystery Quilt from a class by Pat Kohler of Marilyn's Pickets and Patchwork.
    • Barbara Smith helped create this "Double Wedding Ring" with the help of Mary Lou Queen, paper piecing the wedding ring quilt center.  It was put away for 15 years.  When uncovered recently, Barbara added the applique border and quilting to complete the quilt for Mary Lou.
    • This portrait of Lincoln by Alice Norman was displayed in the Idaho Senate Chambers for the inaugural event of the first Idaho Day, March 4, 2013.  The date celebrates Lincoln signing the Act making the Idaho a Territory, March 4, 1863.
    • Carol Mitchell created and quilted "Braided Stripe" from an on-line tutorial by Anne Will.  The edges are on the bias so it was a bit tricky to bind!
    • Barbara Smith created & quilted "Late Bloomers" from 'Simple Appeal' by Kim Diehl's book.  She made the small wallhanging in a machine applique class from Kim herself!
    • Aleida Houdyshell created & quilted "Cruise Friends" for her sister and friend who have cruised together 3 times.
    • "Bubble Wrap" and a Miniature Pinwheel quilt were created & quilted by Margie Braach.  As she used the 'stitch & flip' flying geese for the border, she had more than enough half-square triangles for this Miniature Pinwheel quilt!
    • Madeleine Trainor created & quilted "Little Brownie" as a miniature.  Made from leftover triangles the came as a result of using the 'stitch and flip' method on another project.  Inspired by Cindy Needham's "Design it, Quilt It".
    • Lisa Donlan won the Block of the Month at BBQ and made this "Mittens" quilt, quilted  by Claudia Van Theil.  The finished quilt was donated to the Baby Quilt Project.
    • Jill Nelson created & quilted "Throw in the Towel".  She started this in a BBQ class with Barbara Polston to embellish a kitchen towel.
    • "The Princess & the Pea for Eloise" was created by Jane Sparrell and quilted by Evette Ebaugh.  This is an original pattern from her company, 'Rick Rack & Polka Dots'.
    • "Oriental Phoenix" was created & quilted by Esther Kleinkauf as a symbol of the chance to re-invent herself with her move to Boise.  This is the first quilt she quilted on a longarm machine.
    • Elaine Cederquist created & quilted the "Modern Quilt" from a jelly roll & a layer cake of modern fabrics.  This is the first of 20 quilts for grandchildren's weddings.
    • Donna Swanson created & quilted this "Nine Patch Chain" with fabrics from a friend's stash.  This is a wedding gift for Young Life staff in Russia.  Donna is the "Rock Creek Quilter".
    • Donna Swanson saw a picture of this quilt in a magazine & drafted it on graph paper.  She quilted it herself too.  She plans to bring it on her next trip to the Ukraine for Young Life Ministries.  Check out the next slide to see the back!
    • This is what Donna Swanson creates with left over blocks - a wonderful back to her self-drafted quilt!
    • "Louisiana State Cheerleader"- one of two quilts created & quilted by Connie Emmen.  Made from t-Shirts, each has a LSU print on the back.
    • Anna Leonard designed the poinsettia blocks for BBQ's Nov. Block of the Month.  As the winner, Barbara Smith added some pre-printed Christmas blocks, sashing and setting triangles.  Barbara quilted this also.  The yellow button centers were crocheted by Anna's daughter.
    • Sandi Rogers us the Turning Twenty pattern and her daughter Danette Kroft put their stash together to make this for the son & brother.  The only fabric purchased was for the binding!
    • "Orange Flowers for Kate" was made by Patty Henry & quilted by Jami Herndon.  This is from 'A Black & White Garden' by Kay M Capps.
    • Nancy England's Retirement Quilt was quilted by the Gammil Girlz. Nancy retired in December 2014.
    • Maureen Stevens finished this UFO of Sawtooth Stars from 10 years or so ago.  It feels good to finish to matter when!
    • "Fall Frolic" was created by Leslie Harrison and quilted by Connie Emmen.  This was machine pieced for William Scott.
    • "Tim's Old Jeans" was created by Laurel and Terry Bennett for the son.  The blues are out of his jeans & the whites are from his shorts!
    • Kim Strouse made this Christmas Tree quilt since they wouldn't be home to enjoy a real tree.  She added the lights to make it more real.
    • Ester Kleinkauf created "Holiday Quail Trail" from 'Happy Trails' by Connie Keller in the Keepsake Quilting catalog.  This is the 1st of three tops pieced since the Nov. meeting.
    • "Fish" was made by Colleen Kelly as a lap quilt for here husband's truck.  She made it so it is right side up when it is folded over the bench seat.
    • Bev Sheeley won these Jewel Box blocks from the BBQ Block of the Month in 2014.  The quilter was Linda Jolly.
    • Sharon Beidler pieced "Merry Christmas Go Round" for her daughter-in-law.  Jami Herndon was the quilter.  The pattern is from 'Quilts without Corners'.
    • Diane Wilton created & quilted this "Aboriginal Spirit" table runner for her daughter who lives in Australia.

    • Monica Clements  made and quilted this "Lady Bug Quilt" as a practice quilt for long-arm quilting.
    • Gigi Stephens pieced and quilted this for a Christmas gift for a granddaughter.

    • Elaine Cederquist collected blocks at a 2010 Shop Hop and has pieced & quilted them into "I Believe in Christmas".  The quilt also has two pillows with two leftover blocks.
    • Connie Emmen used Churn Dash blocks to create & quilt this Quilt of Valor.
    • Nancy England made & quilted this "Modified Sawtooth Star" to donate to the Interfaith Sanctuary Xtreme Holiday Xtravaganza fund raiser.
    • Robyn Shafer made & quilted this "Fish Are Friends...Not Food" for her boyfriend Marc, whose favorite animal is a sea turtle.
    • Barbara Smith and Amy Krutz made this for Amy's graduation from high school.  Barbara quilted this to be delivered at Thanksgiving.
    • "Celtic Wave" was created & quilted by Pat Kluckhohn as her second try at paper piecing.  She hand-quilted this for her son & daughter-in-law's 10th anniversary.
    • Aleida Houdyshell took the Spiral Rose class from RaNae Merrill at the BBQ annual Quilt Show this year.  She finished and quilted the block as a lovely tote!
    • Margie Braach finished "Berries & Bluebirds" as a BOM from Huckleberry Patches.  This is completely hand-stitched; needle-turn applique', hand pieced, and hand quilted.  No machine what-so-ever!
    • "Liberty" was created by Leona Manke and quilted by Marilyn Shake.  This is from a Fons & Porter Quilt of Valor pattern, done for a class at a Road Scholar Program.
    • Bonita Wohlers created & quilted "Sultry Snowballs" from a pattern by Quilt Expressions. This is her second attempt at long arm quilting!  Way to go, Bonita!
    • Jackie Fuller purchased a large bag of orange scraps and found this pattern in a quilt magazine.  The pumpkins are appliqued by a hand blanket stitch. Jackie quilted it on her domestic sewing machine.
    • "Tiny Baskets" & "Circle of Stars" were created & quilted by Donna Riley.  A class project taught by Sally Collins, the second quilt emphasized precision piecing - essential when making a quilt with half-inch blocks!
    • Connie Griffin presented a rail fence quilt she quilted for a customer.  Connie quilted overall swirls onto the quilt.
    • Connie Emmen created & quilted "Modern Rosebuds" as a 'Prepare a Spare' quilt. This bed-size quilt is ready to donate to a future need when the next occasion arises.
    • A "Stitcher's Garden" was created by Susan Pirrong and Quilted by Terry Hill from a Block of the Month studying applique' at the Quilt Crossing.
    • Sandra Rogers created and Danette Kroft quilted "Spring Fling" from a Stashbusters pattern from Quilt Expressions.
    • Nell Billings created "Pumpkin Patch" as a Block of the MOnth a few years ago.  Jami Herndon is the quilter.
    • Maureen Stevens received Churn dash block from BBQ members as a memento of her year as Chair in 2011- 2012.  She assembled and quilted this as "Churn Dash Memories".
    • "Celtic Crystals" was created & quilted by Margie Braach as a Block of the Month from 2013.
    • "Hotsie Totsie" was made & quilted by Linda Jolly for a friend turning 50 in November, 2014.
    • "Jade's First Quilt" was made by Jade Rackley and quilted by Connie Emmen.  It is from a pattern by Connie called "4 plus 1 equals 3".
    • Bev Dunkel used English paper piecing and quilted this herself
    • "Dancing Flowers" was created and quilted by Barbara Smith from a pattern named 'Happy' by Sew Be It.
    • "Flower Baskets" was created and quilted by Barbara Smith as an original Design.  The baskets were won in a BBQ Block of the Month drawing.
    • Barbara Smith created and quilted "Friendship" from 'Granny's Stars' pattern from Fons & Porter's magazine 2009.   She made this from fabric given her by her friends!
    • "Custom Stars & Quilting" is an original design by Chris Klover.  She was inspired by the 8 point star and added feathered stars and others for her first custom quilt.
    • Karen Falvey created & quilted "Pink" as her first Stashbusters quilt from a pattern "Super Six".  She is practicing her longarm skills since retiring this year.
    • Cindy Schroeder created and quilted "Elements of Big Bear lake" wit the Pine Blocks won from the BOM with BBQ.  Cindy designed this quilt thinking of her sister-in-law's cabin in the pines of Big Bear Lake, CA.
    • During BBQ's May Schoolhouse, donated fabrics were used to make blocks for this quilt by Melba Capelli-Reger & Barb Derby.  The Wonky UFOers helped assemble and Glenda Uranga quilted & finished this donation quilt.
    • Cheryl Neruda created "Practicing Perfect Points" with the Block_Loc Tool/trimmer.  jami Herdon quilted this and it won an Honorable Mention at the recent Kuna Quilt Show.
    • Anna Leonard won the Doll Dresses block at the Block of the Month some time ago.  Sje enlarged the blocks and had fun embellishing these larger ones!  Quilted by Terri Hair.
    • "Cats for Jade" is created & quilted by Connie Emmen for niece's daughter, Jade.  Connie is creating her own pattern in a Modern Math Series: this is Pattern #1.
