Date: Saturday, June 25
Time: 9am – 3pm
Location: Boise Rigging Supply, 6750 West Victory Road, Boise
Do you have a friend or young family member that you’d love to introduce to quilting? When you register for this class, you may also sign up a non-guild member to attend with you at no additional charge! You’ll then have a chance to spend an enjoyable Saturday together, mentoring your friend in your favorite hobby! BBQ members are, of course, also welcome to register alone.
Log cabin quilts are a beloved traditional pattern with lots of very cool updated variations that keep the pattern fun for any level of quilter. We’ll take a look at some of these. Then we’ll practice stitching “Log Cabin Frame” blocks together using the very simple techniques that make Log Cabin blocks perfect for beginners, while also covering quilting basics like finding the “straight of grain” of fabrics and maintaining accurate seam allowances.
To register, please mail a check for $15 made out to BBQ (not Schoolhouse), along with your contact info, to Janice Black, 2303 Heights Dr., Boise, ID 83702; or register in-person at a guild meeting. If the class is already full or has been cancelled, you will be notified and your payment will be returned.
Questions about this class, suggestions for future classes, or would like to volunteer with Quilters’ Schoolhouse contact Janice Black at firstname.lastname@example.org.
