SUMMARY:Angela Bowman Foundation Paper Piecing Art Process - BBQ Membership Program
DESCRIPTION:Angela is known for fusing digital illustration and sewing to create modern quilts. She is inspired by modern technology\, grid systems\, geometry\, nostalgia\, portraits\, and nature. Her work has appeared in exhibitions\, notably at QuiltCon and the San Jose Museum of Quilts & Textiles. She has been featured in numerous publications\, including Modern Quilts: Designs of the New Century\, Modern Patchwork Home\, and Country Living magazine. \nShe enjoys being a creative advocate. She shares her art process online\, teaches at QuiltCon\, and offers curated fabric at her online sewing shop Sewfinity. She lives in Meridian\, Idaho\, with her husband and two children. \nIn her presentation\, Angela will use slides and real quilts to describe her Foundation Paper Piecing art process and show examples of it. SUMMARY:Nine-Patch Pizzazz Schoolhouse - April 26\, 2025
DESCRIPTION:Guild members Carolyn Blackwelder and Phyllis Kizer would love to share with you the fun\, simple “Nine-Patch Pizzazz” technique that they have used to create some very delightful quilts. This is a beginner-friendly endeavor that quilters of any level will enjoy! \nTo meet fair-use criteria with respect to Judy Sisneros\, each person participating in the class should have their own copy of her book\, “9-Patch Pizzazz: Fun\, Fast\, and Finished in a Day.” This is an older book\, but is readily available both as a paperback and a digital file from many online sources. \nParticipants will need a panel that they are willing to cut up\, along with a few fabrics that have been selected to go well with the panel. Landscape panels or ones featuring sea life (as in the samples shown) are ideal.  \nSupply List: \n1. Fabric\n•	1 ½ yards focus fabric\n•	½ yard second focus fabric\n•	½ yard each of two companion fabrics\n•	½ yard for inner border\n•	1 yard for outer border\n•	1 ½ yard flannel for design wall \n2. Notions\n•	Rotary cutter\n•	Medium mat\n•	12 ½” square ruler\n•	6” x 12” ruler\n•	Thread to blend with fabrics\n•	Seam ripper\n•	Straight pins \n3.
