DESCRIPTION:Carolyn Hutchinson’s Binding Class Description:\nI love to bind quilts. There’s something relaxing and exciting about adding those final\nstitches to complete a project. For some reason\, a lot of people don’t seem to share my\nenthusiasm. This class is to help eliminate the dread and questions about binding. We will\ncover four different techniques for binding. As you try each of these and understand when\nyou might want to use each\, you will discover your favorite method. To maximize the use\nof our time\, we will be binding four potholders during the class. \nSupply kits are $29 and required for this class. Kits include\nfour potholders that are quilted and ready for binding and the “Perfect Binding” pattern by\nCarolyn’s In Stitches”. \nSupply List: \nRequired Supplies:\nRulers\n2 ½” x 18” or larger – Recommend “Quilters’ Select”\n(for trimming a strip 2 ½” x WOF to narrower size)\nSmall triangle ruler – Recommend “Easy Angle”\nRotary Cutter with new/sharp blade\nWonder Clips – small pack is sufficient\nSewing machine in good working order plus favorite notions including:\nSmall Scissors and/or thread snips\nThread and bobbins– Recommend “Aurifil” in a neutral color (#2600 Silver)\nSeam Ripper – just in case\nHand sewing needle of your choice \n$29 Potholder Kit is required and includes: \n— The “Perfect Binding” pattern by Carolyn’s In Stitches\n— Four potholders quilted and ready for binding\n— Precut binding strips \nHelpful Supplies but Not Required:\nSmall Iron & Mat\nCutting Mat
