Spend the morning learning how to select and prepare fabrics for a quilt; how to cut and stitch pieces accurately\, and much more! Or come in the afternoon to do some hands-on stitching with a free simple make-and-take project!\nSchedule is as follows: \nMorning session – 9:00 am to 12 noon:\nSpeakers & Demonstrations\nAn introduction to the basics of quilting:\nFabric – Kathie Zegers\nColor & Value – Janice Black\nCutting – Chris Bell\nStitching – Maureen Stevens\nPressing – Terri Cury\nQuilting – Jennifer Price \nAfternoon session – 1:00 pm to 4 pm\nMake and Take kits – a holiday trivet/hotpad OR wall hanging\nWe will have sewing machines set up and volunteer advisors \nStuck on a quilting project? Available for immediate download at https://nancymessuridesigns.com or as a paper pattern at https://quiltwoman.com. \nSkill Level: Advanced Beginner \nIntroduction: This cheerful\, fat quarter friendly quilt will brighten anyone’s day. It goes together easily and accurately with foundation paper piecing. It is the perfect size for a throw or large wall hanging. \nFabric Requirements:\nBlack: 6 ¼ yds\nCream: 1 yd\n36 Bright Colors: 1 Fat Quarter Each\nBinding: Pieced binding uses scraps from the bright colored fabrics\nSingle color binding: ½ yd\nBacking: 4 ¼ yds\nBatting: 72” x 72” square \nAdditional Supplies: At least 72 sheets of foundation paper. (I use Carol Doak’s)\nClear ruler such as Creative Grids 12 ½” x 6 ½”. 12” Add-A-Quarter Ruler. 12” x 3” strip of template plastic.
