DESCRIPTION:Building Blocks Schoolhouse Class\, February 24th\, 2024 \nPLEASE NOTE:  Credit or refund may be requested for cancellations made before a class registration deadline (this class – February 17). \nAlmost all pieced quilt blocks\, whether simple or complex\, can be broken down into certain design elements such as half-square triangles and flying geese. In this class\, former guild president Maureen Stevens will describe twelve essential design elements that can be used to make many different quilt blocks. She will present tips and several different methods of making most of these elements and give you patterns for simple blocks that utilize these elements. Come and explore\, and maybe make a baby quilt in the process! \nSupply list: \n\nMachine in good working order\nMachine needles and ¼” foot for machine\nPins\, scissors and seam ripper\nNeutral thread\nRotary cutter\, rulers and mat\nMarking pencil\nIron and pad (we will have a few irons and boards available)\nScraps of fabric or 12 fat quarters in light\, medium and dark\n\nWe will use some of these tools as well\, so if you have any of them bring them: \n\nThat Patchwork Place 6” Bias Square\nFons &Porter Triangle Trimmers\nJudy Martin’s Ultimate Point Trimmer\nQuilt in a Day Flying Geese Ruler
