DESCRIPTION:Joanie Scofield from the ReUse Market will be talking about materials available at their Garden City store. As Joanie states\, quilting materials are NOT limited to just thread\, fabric and batting. Joanie hopes to encourage any of our Small Groups or possibly establish a new Small Group interested in including unconventional materials in their quilt projects focusing on sustainability. \nThose interested in participating in these small groups will be offered store credit for the purchase of materials. Store credit is available for the first thirty (30) registered participants. ReUse Market plans to offer cash prizes and awards within the small groups outside of the Sustainability awards they are sponsoring at our Quilt Show. \nWhile our Quilt Show has a well-defined Sustainability category\, these Small Group challenges may follow different guidelines and will be expected to follow our Small Group Challenge guidelines should they choose to exhibit their works at our upcoming Quilt Show. \nJoin us for the February 19th meeting to learn more about what treasures you might find at the ReUse Market.
