A Chance to Review some of the Past Quilt Events:

The 2nd Annual Winter Holiday Fiber & Quilt Exhibition was held on Saturday, December 7, 2019. It is sponsored by the City of Eagle Arts Commission. All types of fiber arts reflecting a winter holiday theme are displayed.

Disaster Relief: Quilts were collected at the November 2017 general membership meeting and distributed to those in need. We received letters of gratitude from several people who received quilts after losing their homes. Thanks to all who shared and donated to Americans in need.

The Desert Sage Quilters’ of the Magic Valley’s bi-annual quilt show was held at the Twin Falls County Fair Grounds Merchant Buildings in Filer on April 7th and April 8th. News from Fall 2015:

What can be accomplished with donated fabric scraps and a group of quilters willing to share their time and talents?

Various BBQ quilters gathered for sewing bees at Jody Zanecki’s house on 3 dates last winter and spring. Fabric that had been donated to the BBQ Inheritance committee was sorted, cut, pressed and sewn into quilts. Some quilters took fabric home and continued sewing there. Other volunteers contributed quilting and binding time. The result . . . .

21 QUILTS WERE DONATED

. . . to the Ada County Family Justice Center, FACES, to provide warmth in a time of need. Here is more information on this valuable organization:

The Ada County Family Justice Center, FACES, was created to be a safe haven for victims of domestic abuse, child abuse and sexual assault. The services housed at FACES offer access to safety planning and referral services through a WCA Victim Advocate, forensic exams for both adults and children, non-forensic medical exams for adults, civil legal services, victim witness services from the Boise City Attorney’s Office, and domestic violence education. A team of Health and Welfare assessment workers are also housed at FACES. Now, with this addition of services from the Boise Police Department’s Special Victims and Victim Witness Units and the Ada County Prosecutor’s Office, this collaboration of services will help provide victims the right resources right away.

Below are examples of quilts that were provided to FACES in September 2015.
