Boise Basin Quilters History: Formed in 1983, BBQ was the outgrowth of Quilt Gems (est. Feb 1980), a special interest group within the Embroiderers Guild of America (EGA).  After presentation of a quilt and needlework show in April 1983, it was obvious that there were many people seeking an outlet for their love of quilting.  Boise Basin Quilters was born of this interest.
